The CRINK Economy™
It was 2007 when Gord Hume invented the phrase, “The CRINK Economy” ™.
The phrase stands for CReative, INnovative, Knowledge-based and is based upon the new economy that is emerging for municipalities and the global economy.
Since that time, as Gord has promoted this phrase through his many speeches, articles and the 2009 book “Cultural Planning for Creative Communities” (for more information, go to www.municipalworld.com and follow the links to Bookstore), the phrase has become more and more popular.
Now being more widely used in discussions of Municipal Cultural Planning and the Creative City opportunities, The CRINK Economy is a descriptive and memorable phrase to describe the new economy into which the world has moved.
