Hume Communications Inc (HCI)

Hume Communications Inc (HCI) is a company that offers professional independent advice and assistance to municipalities, corporations and community organizations.

Founded in 1988, HCI today assists City Councils and local governments, community and health organizations, business associations, civic groups and municipalities on how to build creative, stronger, prosperous, healthier and more sustainable communities.  HCI also assists municipalities with training for staff and elected officials, strategic planning, internal Council conflict situations, and issues management.

The President of HCI is Gord Hume who has been in corporate management, civic government, the public sector and executive media management.  He is a successful entrepreneur and business owner. Gord was elected to London City Council four times and brings a unique perspective and insider’s knowledge to difficult municipal challenges.

Gord is the author of seven books on municipal affairs, financing  local government, building better cities and towns, and improving the quality of life for residents.  He is a co-author of two other books, and a regular contributor to many media outlets.  He is an internationally renowned guest speaker known for his passionate presentations.
